    Hello,

I don't think they cost more than £15,although I might be wrong. However they come neutered & Vet checked, that's a plus isn't it?

no, you do not have to have them together. They do very well on their own as long as you have the time to spend with them every day. They need a lot of interaction, especially when living as a single. If you get two, they are likely to fight. You need to have same gender or one of the mixed pair fixed. You need to properly introduce them to each other over time. You need to be able to remove and disassociate your pig form his or her territory so the two can claim their own territory. Fights can be very bad, especially between males. In either gender, there can be a dominant who will exhibit inappropriate and sometimes harmful behavior on the other. You need to do your research and be sure to know what you are getting yourself into. Thanks for considering adoption. If you want to house them together, you need a very large cage, unlimited hay, plenty of food, lots of time and daily fresh greens and some fruit each week.
